iPlay SBS 3D VR Video Player

The description of iPlay SBS 3D VR Video Player

A simple, ad-free, tiny (just 67 kb!) video player that plays 2D and 3D videos suitable for Virtual Reality VR displays that use mobile as the screen, such as Google Cardboard. It supports Side-by-Side (SBS) as well as Half Side-by-Side (HBS / HSBS) format videos. It works on any phone, limited only by the device's video capabilities. If you want to use it with Gear VR, do not plug in the usb port.FEATURES– Converts normal video to SBS- Plays SBS & HBS video with correct aspect ratio- Converts SBS 3D & HBS 3D to normal video- Can be accessed from your file manager- Support for external SRT subtitles (same file name)- Mode for normal, non-SBS video- Delayed start mode for time to insert mobile in headset- Lightweight, Ad-free, No unwanted permissionsA few points to note:– It will play only video formats (mp4, mpg etc.) that are natively supported by your phone (more info below)- It does not play web videos such as those from YouTube or DailyMotion- It does not use the magnetic navigator controls, head tracking etc.- It does not play 180 or 360 degree Full VR videos- Since SBS viewing requires more memory, hi-res videos may exhibit lag in weaker devices. If you are not familiar with cheap VR displays that can convert your mobile screen into a virtual movie theatre, checkout these links:https://www.google.com/get/cardboard/http://www.tomsguide.com/us/vr-headset-guide,news-20644.htmlRegarding Supported Audio/Video formatsThe app does not include any media codecs due to its tiny size. It supports whatever the Android OS in your device supports. For a list of supported formats, refer to the link below:https://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.htmlGenerally Android does not support 5.1 multi-channel audio formats such as DTS and Dolby AC3. However, some manufacturers may have tweaked the OS to natively support these too, in which case the iPlay app will be able to play those. In case the audio is not supported, you will not hear any sound. In such case, you can use any of the several video converter utilities for PC/Mac to downmix the multi-channel tracks to stereo mp3 or aac. While mp4, mpg etc are universally supported, support for other video containers such as mkv, avi, flv etc is dependent on your android flavor.
